Hi, I Am A Practicing Vegan

Feeling a little bit overwhelmed in this moment. As far as my food consumption goes, I'm still Vegan, but when you start to pay attention, you realize there is so much more to it than diet alone. A simple Google search for "products with animal ingredients" may blow your mind.

Okay, so no more leather or fur, not that I was ever really that into leather and fur anyway, but then we have make up products, beer and apparently Downy laundry detergent, which "basically coats your clothes in lipids..." Oh yeah, feel the softness difference, animal fats all over my body. Sexy stuff guys.

Back to the one day at a time mentality. Yoga is called a "practice" because it is a life long journey of self discovery, learning and growth of the mind body and spirit. I am now realizing that being Vegan is very much the same. To successfully navigate the chaotic world of products, toxins, misinformation and mind control is not something that happens overnight.

There are so many elements to living a compassionate life Free From Harm and the beauty of it is that anyone can be a Practicing Vegan. As long as you are conscious of the choices you make and strive to work towards a healthier version of your self and your planet, then you are forming the habit. There is no judgement in practice, there is only the best you can do in each moment.

Over time I will transition into only purchasing and using only Vegan products, meaning products that have not been tested on animals or caused suffering for them in any way. For now, I know I will never again ingest animal ingredients as food throughout the remainder of my life and the rest of it is just a Practice in Veganism. One Day at a Time.

Practice Yoga. Practice Vegan. #PracticeVegan
